Hello Everyone,
I'm Pastor Jerry L. Lewis and I wrote "What God Can't Do," to show Christians and others how to add dynamic power to prayer by simply asking more effective questions; questions that easily help people learn to begin the process of overcomming depression or making major changes.
Don't let the title of the book fool you. This dynamic and exciting 128 page 100% Christian book clearly explains in simple terms how prayer, forgiveness, happiness, and love can interact more effectively. The simple theme of the book is:
The quality of life we experience depends on the quality of the questions we ask
of ourselves, of others, and of God.
That is what effective prayer is all about: quality questions. The reason questions and prayers that start out with the word "Why" seldom get answers is because (among other things) that's the poorest way to structure a question. Prayers and questions that start out "What can ....?" or "How can ....?" go right to the top of God's inbox! If you're looking for more answers to prayer, get this book.
Praying for patience is ineffective (and often dangerous) because patience is learned by trials. Did we just ask God for more trials, effectively painting bull’s-eyes on our heads? We could have asked, "God, please help keep me so focused on you that I don't get distracted by negative people and unimportant events."
See how we get a better result with less "headaches" by asking a more effective question?
There's even one prayer that He always answers almost immediately, and I've been using it for nearly thirty years without a miss. Read the secret in "What God Can't Do." (Chapter 1 excerpt immediately below.)

CHAPTER 1 excerpts
Are There Really Things God Can’t Do?
The idea that God can do everything works well to help six-year-olds build an understanding of God, but is the cause of most of our prayers going “unanswered.” It is a six-year-old definition which has never grown and been updated. It’s stuck somewhere in the past.
There are lots of things that God can’t do because of His nature. Go ahead and think of one. He won’t throw an angry bolt of lightning at you. (Hint: Can God tell a lie? Of course not! Lying is sin, and sin is not God’s nature.)
Here are some of my favorites: God can’t learn anything because He already knows everything. God can’t get sick because sickness was part of the Curse for Adam’s sin. And here is one of my all-time favorites: since God is light, He can’t even cast a shadow! (I know Psalms tells about being in the shadow of God’s wing, so you’ll have to work that one out)
Has your definition of God expanded at least a little bit? Well, there are many things that God can’t do because of His nature. Before long we will also explore things that God can’t (won’t) do because of His will.

"SPECIAL" PRAYERS
Collateral Blessings
and the "Silver Bullet Prayer"
Many folks are looking for that “silver bullet” that fixes everything in life. Millions of motivation programs and books are sold every year and most are never used. Many folks who buy into those programs have a "show me something new" attitude, yet they never quite seem to master the basics before moving on to the next big thing.
Regrettably, many of our prayers are structured with the same kind of mentality: “Do it now God, so I can get on with something else. Help me come up with a “home run prayer” that pulls it all together right now.” We expect Him to do it all while we sit back and wait, unaware that we have an important part to play in each prayer request we make.
You won’t find much of that "silver bullet" mentality inside my new book, “What God Can’t Do: Keys to Prayer Power.” Simple easy steps taken day by day will accomplish far more than reading the “right” book or following the latest success guru’s admonitions.
Faithfulness in small things leads to faithfulness in great things,
and never the other way around.
An unexpected benefit comes from periodically re-reading this book. You will most likely begin to experience the pleasant surprises that I call “collateral blessings,” where situations and areas in your life improve without your specifically having prayed about them. Also God may speak to you in sections that you skimmed over the first time about another step to take, or solution to explore, now that previous situations have changed.
We almost never need the whole solution; just the next step.
Just remember that silver is an excellent conductor of lightning.
